The Jogorku Kenesh has approved the new membership of the Central Election Commission

The Jogorku Kenesh has elected the new members of the Central Election Commission. The decision was taken at a parliamentary session on 3 June.

The following have been appointed as members of the Central Election Commission: Almaz Aibalayev, Ruslanbek Zhakyshov, Mirgul Temirbaeva, Bodosh Mamyrova, Tynchtyk Shainazarov, Suyunbek Kasmambetov, Leyla Lurova and Timur Otorbaev have been approved as members of the CEC.

The candidates were nominated by the President, the Cabinet of Ministers and parliamentary groups. They had previously been considered and approved by the relevant committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on constitutional legislation.

The Central Commission for Elections and Referendums is the body responsible for organising and conducting elections and referendums in Kyrgyzstan.
