38% of road accidents in 2024 are pedestrian collisions

From 27 January to 1 February, a raid ‘Pedestrian’ was conducted in Kyrgyzstan, during which 19 thousand 317 violations of traffic rules were detected.

1 thousand 842 pedestrians were fined 1 thousand soms for crossing the road in the wrong place. 4 thousand 920 drivers were fined 3 thousand soms each for failing to give advantage to pedestrians at pedestrian crossings.

38 per cent of road accidents registered in 2024 were related to pedestrian collisions. In order to prevent such incidents, the Main Department for Road Traffic Safety is strengthening control and continues to conduct raids.

Advertising structures erected without permission have been dismantled in the Sverdlovsk district
Employees of the Land Use Control Department of the Bishkek City Hall, together with the State Agency «Bishkekglavarhitektura», dismantled advertising structures on the section of Moskovskaya Street from Ibraimova Street to Gogol Street, as well as on Suyumbaeva Street.

As part of the reform being carried out by the Ministry of Energy, a number of energy facilities are being reconstructed. In addition, old wooden supports are being replaced with reinforced concrete ones, and new ones are being installed in some areas.
