870 million KGS — that is how much Kyrgyz citizens spent on marketplaces in the first three months

Payments made by Kyrgyz citizens in online stores continue to grow steadily. According to payment organizations, in the first quarter of 2025, 502,280 purchases were made through electronic channels for a total amount of 870.07 million KGS . This is a new quarterly maximum for this segment.

It is noteworthy that the record was achieved not only in terms of the volume of online purchases, but also in terms of the number of transactions in favor of online stores. In the first quarter of 2025, the number of payments increased by 1.7 times compared to the same period last year and by 1.75 times compared to the fourth quarter of 2024.

Overall, spending increased by almost 64%, from 529.2 million KGS in the last three months of last year. At the same time, the average check did not increase, but rather decreased slightly, to 1,732 KGS, compared to 1,848 KGS in October–December 2024. This suggests that Kyrgyz citizens are shopping online more often, but the amount spent on individual purchases has remained the same or even decreased.

Thanks to the fact that Kyrgyz citizens are shopping online more often, there has been a recovery in activity after the decline in mid-2024.
