07/22/2025, 12:57From August 9, 2025, Manas International Airport will officially change its IATA code. The familiar FRU will be replaced by a new code, BSZ. This was announced by Kyrgyzstan Airports JSC.
The decision was made in accordance with Resolution 763 of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The effective date is 90 calendar days from the date of notification sent on May 9.
The company notes that the transition will be accompanied by a number of technical and organizational measures. This is necessary for the correct operation of IT systems, booking systems, logistics, and flight services, both on domestic and international routes.
