Manas Airport to restrict passenger flights due to the SCO

Manas International Airport will operate under special arrangements on 31 August and 1 September due to the SCO Summit and the World Nomad Games. During the day, the arrival and departure of scheduled passenger flights will be temporarily restricted to facilitate the reception and handling of aircraft carrying heads of state and official delegations.

On 31 August, the restrictions will be in force from 09:00 to 20:00, and on 1 September from 10:00 to 22:00. Airlines are therefore advised to adjust the timetables of individual flights in advance, reschedule them to available time slots or, if necessary, cancel them.

However, the airport will not cease operations entirely. Outside the periods when the restrictions are in force, including at night, passenger flight services will continue. OJSC ‘Airports of Kyrgyzstan’ is coordinating with airlines and asks passengers to check the status and departure time of their flight in advance directly with the carrier.

The company noted that the temporary restrictions are being introduced to ensure safety and to facilitate the reception of official delegations. Passengers have been asked to take into account possible changes to the timetable and to plan their journeys in advance.
