Kyrgyzstan and the EEC discussed the development of a common public procurement market

On 5 August, Ruslan Suynaliev, Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Finance, met with Maxim Yermolovich, a member of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission and Minister for Competition and Antimonopoly Regulation. The parties discussed cooperation in the field of public procurement, the improvement of legal mechanisms and the implementation of digital solutions.

In particular, the participants reviewed issues relating to the mutual recognition of electronic digital signatures, the improvement of the regulatory framework for public procurement within the EAEU and the clarification of the procedure for conducting electronic auctions. The possibility of procuring medicines through international specialist organisations was also discussed.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue their cooperation in the field of public procurement and to work together on developing a common market for state and municipal procurement within the EAEU.
