10/10/2026, 13:43OJSC ‘Kyrgyzstan Airports’ generated over $100 million in revenue in 2024. By way of comparison, the revenue of the Uzbek company Uzbekistan Airports for the same period amounted to around $550 million.
These figures are cited in a review by the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) on investment in aviation infrastructure in Central Asia.
In Kyrgyzstan, airports are managed by a state-owned operator. In Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan Airports controls all the country’s international airports and is responsible for their modernisation and infrastructure development.
In Kazakhstan, airport management is divided among several state-owned and private companies, including those with foreign participation. For example, Almaty Airport is managed by the Turkish company TAV Airports Holding, whilst Astana Airport is managed by Terminals Holdings from the UAE.
