08/31/2025, 09:05According to the Ministry of Finance, in January–July 2025, excise tax revenues on alcoholic products produced in Kyrgyzstan amounted to more than 2 billion KGS. This is comparable to last year, when 2.03 billion KGS were received by the budget.
Vodka and beer remain the main sources of revenue. Revenues from excise taxes on vodka reached 1.32 billion KGS, which is slightly higher than last year's figure (1.3 billion). Sales of bottled beer brought in 529.4 million KGS, compared to 522 million a year earlier.
Growth was also noted for unpackaged beer — 65 million KGS compared to 52.8 million last year. Cognac also increased revenues: 77.8 million KGS compared to 74.9 million.
At the same time, revenues from spirits, low-alcohol beverages, and balms decreased—37.4 million KGS compared to 66.5 million a year earlier. Winemaking also brought in less money: excise taxes on wine amounted to 6.2 million KGS compared to 8.1 million in 2024.
At the same time, sparkling wines, including champagne, showed a decline of more than two times — 1.2 million KGS compared to 2.5 million.
