04/16/2026, 13:12The municipal enterprise ‘Bishkekzelenstroy’ has begun its annual large-scale planting of annual flowers across the capital.
This season, around 2 million annual plants are set to be planted. A variety of bright flowers are being used for the planting, including marigolds, salvia, ageratum, catanthus, dahlias, petunias and coleus. Thanks to this combination, Bishkek will delight residents with a rich palette of colours throughout the spring and summer.
Floral displays will adorn the city’s main streets, parks, squares and all public flowerbeds, giving the capital a well-maintained and modern appearance. Work has commenced simultaneously across all four administrative districts of the city, where the company’s specialists are already actively engaged in the improvement of public spaces.
Staff at the municipal enterprise ‘Bishkekzelenstroy’ are appealing to residents and visitors to the capital to treat the newly planted flowers with care: please do not trample the flowerbeds, do not pick the plants, and respect the work of the specialists who labour daily to make Bishkek more beautiful and welcoming.
