The main objective of this programme is to provide young people with the opportunity to gain their first practical experience, apply the theoretical knowledge they have acquired, master professional skills, become familiar with corporate culture, and develop the so-called soft skills necessary for successful employment. In addition, the initiative contributes to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 4 — ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all; SDG 8 —
Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all. The ministry shared the interim results of the programme's implementation.
For example, 1,847 unemployed young people were sent on internships to private and state organisations and enterprises. Another 802 participants (48.8% of those who completed the internship) have already found employment, and most of the other interns are planning to find further employment.
