The issue was raised by the Prime Minister, Adylbek Kasymaliev, at a cabinet meeting on 7 October.
Following the discussion, state and local authorities were instructed to carry out a full inventory of the reclassified land and to establish a digital register for each plot.
In addition, Kasymaliev called for tighter state control over land policy.
The authorities therefore intend to verify not only the legal status of the land following a change in its category, but also whether the plots are being used for their intended purpose after the reclassification.
