06/02/2026, 13:34The majority of businesses in Kyrgyzstan are companies with a relatively short history. This is evident from the results of the fourth PMI survey conducted by OJSC ‘Guarantee Fund’.
Thus, 46% of respondents have been in business for between 6 and 15 years. A further 18% are enterprises that have existed for no more than 5 years.
The more mature segment of the market is represented to a lesser extent. Companies with 16 to 20 years’ experience accounted for 17%, and those with 21 to 30 years’ experience for 13%. Companies with a history of more than 30 years accounted for only 6% of the sample.
Overall, the structure shows that 65% of the companies surveyed have been operating in the market for no longer than 15 years. This indicates the predominance of relatively young and medium-sized businesses in the country.
