What Kyrgyz citizens need to know before entering Russia for work — recommendations from the Ministry of Labour

The Ministry of Labour recommends that citizens travelling to Russia for work check themselves against the list of persons prohibited from entering the country on the website of the overseas employment centre migrant.kg.

To legally stay in Russia, Kyrgyz citizens must undergo a medical examination, fingerprint registration and photographing within 30 days, as well as register with the migration authorities at their place of temporary residence. Citizens arriving in Moscow and the Moscow region for work purposes must register with the migration authorities via the Amina app, while family members must follow the standard procedure.

In addition, they must conclude an employment or civil law contract and, within 90 days, extend their temporary stay on the basis of the contract by obtaining a stamp on their migration card.
