Chui Oblast is leading in agricultural production in 2024

From January to September 2024, the agricultural production total volume amounted to 302.1 billion KGS. The production volume increased by 6.7% compared to last year (January-September). The National Statistics Committee provided these data.

In the structure of agricultural production, livestock production accounted for 45.6%, crop production - 50.8%, forestry - 0.1%, fishing - 0.8%, and services - 2.7%. The farms and private subsidiary farms of citizens made the main contribution (93.5%) to production.

The largest production share (24.8%) falls on the Chui oblast. Harvesting continues in the republic. As of 23 September 2024, grain crops (except legumes, rice and buckwheat) have been harvested from  564.6 thousand hectares, 3.5% more than a year ago. The grain harvest amounted to 1.9 million tonnes, 37.5% more than last year.

It should be noted that weather conditions affected this season's harvest.
