"I receive many appeals from citizens concerned about the impact of energy drinks on the health of young people. Unfortunately, more and more young people are suffering from heart, kidney and liver diseases. It is especially alarming that energy drinks are regularly consumed by schoolchildren and cab drivers, which causes serious damage to their bodies," Maripov said at a recent parliamentary session.
He urged his colleagues to consider banning the import and sale of these drinks in the country, emphasizing that such a step would help reduce the risk of spreading dangerous diseases among the population.
Earlier, another MP, Alisher Kozuev, proposed to fine for advertising energy drinks and has already drafted a bill to this effect.
