The Jogorku Kenesh Committee on Budget and Fiscal Policy is considering the draft law “On Amendments to Some Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic on the issues of reducing the tax burden of the population and business entities”, initiated by the Chairman of the Cabinet.

During the discussion, MP Nadira Narmatova made a proposal to return the patent system of taxation in the sphere of real estate rent. According to her, this decision was discussed with the State Tax Service and was supported by the public.

"We propose that the tax should be paid not on the basis of the contractual amount, but on the basis of the area of the rented real estate. This will be more transparent and understandable for citizens," Narmatova said.

In addition, she stressed that in general, the bill to abolish the KKM and return to the patent system in various areas of entrepreneurship creates favorable conditions for small and medium-sized businesses.

Narmatova asked to include her proposal in the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers. In turn, Deputy Economy Minister Iskender Asylkulov said that the issue is being considered by the Tax Service.
