Briefing Held on Preparation for Second V5+1 Forum in Bishkek

On 12 December 2025, a briefing was held in Bishkek for Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and representatives of the diplomatic corps. The focus was on preparations for the Second B5+1 Forum, which will take place on 4–5 February 2026 in the capital of Kyrgyzstan.

The forum is being held as part of the agreements reached at the C5+1 summit, which took place on 6 November 2025 in Washington with the participation of the heads of state of Central Asia and the United States. Its key objective is to strengthen economic ties between the countries of the region and the American side.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic emphasised that the B5+1 format is seen as a practical tool for strengthening regional integration, increasing investment attractiveness and expanding cooperation with international partners.

The Ministry of Economy outlined the priority areas of the forum. These include agriculture, e-commerce and IT, transport and logistics, tourism, the banking sector, and critical minerals. According to the ministry, these industries could become the drivers of a new stage of economic cooperation between Central Asia and the United States.

The Kyrgyz Republic, hosting the forum in Bishkek, has declared its readiness to provide a platform for constructive dialogue between government agencies and business. It is expected that the Second B5+1 Forum will become not just a discussion meeting, but a working space for developing new economic priorities and launching long-term cooperation.
