02/12/2025, 12:20The government has not yet specified the sources of funding for the purchase of Chinese catalysts. This was stated today 12 February at the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh by MP Arslanbek Egemberdiev.
Earlier, the Ministry of Nature reported that it is planned to purchase catalysts from China at a cost of 5 thousand soms.
The deputy expressed doubts about the expediency of this purchase, stressing that although the price seems low, additional funds will be required for the installation and delivery of catalysts.
Arslanbek Egemberdiev noted that the government has not specified where these funds will come from, which calls into question the expediency of such a decision.
In addition, the MP noted that the quality of Chinese catalysts is difficult to check in the short term.
‘It takes several years to assess the quality. If the catalysts turn out to be of low quality, they will quickly fail,’ he added, urging not to hurry with their purchase. Egemberdiyev expressed doubt that one can get really high-quality products for such a price and suggested postponing the purchase.
