12/09/2024, 11:46In Batken, Chui, Osh, Jalal-Abad, Talas and Issyk-Kul oblasts of the republic, sowing of winter wheat and barley is carried out. For the harvest of 2025 it was envisaged to sow winter wheat on the area of 190 thousand hectares, 74.6% of the area has already been sown.
In Chui oblast 86.2 thousand hectares have been sown, in Issyk-Kul oblast - 10.2 thousand hectares, in Jalal-Abad oblast - 14.1 thousand hectares, in Batken oblast - 6.1 thousand hectares, in Talas oblast - 7.1 thousand hectares and in Osh oblast - 18 thousand hectares. The works have been carried out on 1.4 thousand hectares more compared to the same period of 2023. Especially high rate is observed in Osh and Chui oblasts.
On sowing winter barley for the harvest of 2025 from the planned 11.4 thousand hectares, 9 thousand hectares have been completed, which is 78.7%. This is 1 thousand hectares more than in the same period of 2023.
In general, the work has been completed on 150.7 thousand hectares of the planned 201.4 thousand hectares.
To date, work on sugar beet harvesting is close to completion. As of December 9, 2024 it was harvested from the area of 13.2 thousand hectares, the yield is 660.5 centners per hectare, which is 187.6 centners per hectare above the level of last year.
Gross harvest at the moment is 870.2 thousand tons, which is 249.2 thousand tons more compared to the same period last year. These figures indicate a high level of production of this crop in 2024.
