The dollar fell to its lowest level since the beginning of the year. The NB KR updated the exchange rate on March 6

The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan set the official exchange rates for March 6. After a long period of stability, the dollar fell to its lowest level against the KGS since the beginning of the year.

According to the regulator, the US dollar exchange rate fell from 87.45 to 87.4434 KGS, which corresponds to a decrease of approximately 0.0075% per day. Although the change is minimal, the fact itself is interesting, since the exchange rate had remained virtually unchanged for a long period.

According to the NBKR, the official dollar exchange rate has remained virtually unchanged over the past few months. Thus, from the beginning of February to the beginning of March, it remained at 87.45 KGS, only occasionally deviating by thousandths. For example, on March 4, the exchange rate was 87.4495 KGS, on March 3 — 87.4452, and in January it fluctuated in the range of 87.448–87.450 KGS. At the beginning of the year, the rate was 87.4435 KGS, which confirms the extremely narrow range of fluctuations of the US currency against the KGS.

At the same time, other currencies have changed more significantly in the last 24 hours:

• the euro fell from 101.4333 to 101.4125 KGS (-0.0205%);
• the ruble fell from 1.1272 to 1.1206 KGS (-0.59%).

At the same time, some currencies strengthened. The tenge rose from 0.1748 to 0.1769 KGS (+1.2%), and the yuan rose from 12.6535 to 12.677 KGS (+0.19%).
