Kyrgyzstan has seen a noticeable increase in the well-being of its citizens and their trust in the reforms being carried out by the country's leadership. These conclusions are presented in the latest report, ‘Listening to the Kyrgyz Republic,’ prepared by the World Bank based on research conducted from December 2021 to June 2025.

According to the survey results, 90% of citizens believe that the country is moving in the right direction politically, economically and socially. For comparison, at the beginning of 2022, this share was about 70%. Experts note that this is one of the highest confidence ratings for the entire observation period.

The overall level of life satisfaction increased from 54% to 80%. The number of those who previously stated that they were extremely dissatisfied has significantly decreased.

Moreover, 76% of respondents believe that now is the right time to look for a new job or start their own business. The share of people who consider themselves poor has decreased from 24% to 14%. At the same time, the number of those who consider themselves middle class continues to grow.

Most respondents have a positive opinion of the government's efforts.

Thus, 87% note an improvement in support for vulnerable groups (at the beginning of 2022, this figure was about 60%), and 83% in rural areas and 76% in cities note the authorities' openness to dialogue with society.

The fight against corruption also contributes to increased trust in the authorities. While in 2022 less than 70% of citizens believed in its effectiveness, by the middle of this year this figure had reached 93% in rural areas and 89% in cities.

This trend indicates not only an improvement in economic indicators, but also a steady growth in public confidence in state institutions and social policies.
