08/28/2026, 11:29The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has adopted a decision on the establishment and allocation of tariff quotas for certain types of meat products and whey for 2027.
For Kyrgyzstan, the tariff quotas have been set at the following volumes: beef – 5,000 tonnes, pork – 2,000 tonnes, and poultry meat and offal – 58,000 tonnes.
The establishment of tariff quotas for these goods is aimed at ensuring food security and meeting the needs of the domestic market, which cannot be met through domestic production alone.
Furthermore, in a separate decision, the EEC Board granted a tariff concession in the form of a 0% import duty exemption on niobium–aluminium alloy, valid until 31 October 2028 inclusive.
Niobium–aluminium alloy is used in the production of titanium alloys for the medical sector.
This concession is intended to reduce the production cost of finished goods by cutting the cost of purchasing raw materials, as well as to enhance the competitiveness of titanium products.
At the same time, in a further decision, the EEC Board extended the anti-dumping duty on leaf springs and sheets for leaf springs from the PRC until 24 August 2031 inclusive.
The decision was taken following a review anti-dumping investigation, initiated in connection with the expiry of the existing measure on the basis of a complaint lodged by producers of the goods from the Eurasian Economic Union.
The anti-dumping duty on leaf springs and spring plates originating in the People’s Republic of China was imposed in accordance with Decision No. 17 of the EEC Board dated 16 February 2021. The rate is set at 14.11 per cent of the customs value. The measure’s validity was extended for the duration of the review investigation.
