08/28/2026, 11:47In the first quarter of 2026, Kyrgyzstan exported goods worth $497.4 million. This is 10.9 per cent less than in the same period of 2025, when exports totalled $558.2 million.
Kyrgyzstan’s largest export category was mineral products, worth $145.8 million. This accounted for almost 29 per cent of total exports. Over the year, shipments increased by 4.1 per cent.
In second place were machinery, equipment and mechanisms. Exports of these amounted to $71.4 million. Compared with last year, this figure fell by 21.5 per cent.
Exports of transport vehicles and their parts rose by 19.8 per cent to $45.3 million.
Exports of plant products, including agricultural goods, fell by 26.5 per cent to $29.9 million.

Exports of chemical products saw particularly significant growth. Over the year, they rose by 82.1 per cent — from $9.5 million to $17.3 million. Exports of plastics, rubber and rubber products increased by almost 20 per cent.
At the same time, exports of precious metals, pearls and gemstones fell sharply. Whilst exports in the first quarter of 2025 totalled $55.5 million, in 2026 they amounted to only $16.9 million. This represented a decline of 69.5 per cent.

Thus, Kyrgyzstan mainly exports mineral products, machinery, transport equipment, textiles, foodstuffs, agricultural goods and chemical products.
The overall decline in exports is primarily due to the fact that the country has been selling fewer precious metals, machinery, equipment and agricultural products abroad. At the same time, exports of chemical goods, transport vehicles, plastics and mineral products have increased.
