01/15/2025, 17:31Ethiopia has expressed interest in opening direct flights with Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. This became known following the visit of Deputy Foreign Minister Asein Isaev to Ethiopia.
The Ethiopian side, represented by the largest airline in Africa ‘Ethiopian Airlines’, proposed to sign a memorandum of co-operation between the aviation departments. ‘Ethiopian Airlines’ with a fleet of more than 160 aircraft and a route network covering more than 140 destinations, is ready to consider opening a direct flight Bishkek - Addis Ababa.
In addition to passenger traffic, the potential of air cargo traffic was discussed, which could link Kyrgyzstan with the most important transport hubs in Africa, Europe and Asia. This opens up prospects for the development of trade and economic co-operation between the two regions.
