06/17/2026, 11:25Kyrgyzstan’s gross domestic product for January–May 2026 reached 781.1 billion KGS. According to preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee, the country’s economy grew by 12.2% compared with the same period last year.
Growth was recorded across all key sectors of the economy. The highest growth rates were seen in construction, where the volume of work increased by 64.6 per cent. Growth in industry stood at 14.3 per cent, in the services sector at 7 per cent, and in agriculture at 3.7 per cent.
According to the statistics, this positive trend is attributable to growth in domestic demand, investment activity and the economy’s adaptation to changing external conditions.
Within the GDP structure, the share of goods-producing sectors stood at 32.6%, whilst that of the services sector was 51.1%.
The figures, published following the first five months of 2026, indicate that the country is maintaining a steady pace of economic growth.
It should be noted that, for the period January–May 2025, Kyrgyzstan’s GDP growth stood at 12 per cent.
