The decline amounted to 27.7% and is linked to the phased replacement of trolleybuses with buses and electric buses. Consequently, there is a redistribution of passenger flows within the urban public transport system.
Passenger turnover for electric transport has also fallen. In 2025, it stood at 23 million passenger-kilometres, which is 1.7 times less than in the previous year.
Against this backdrop, the other segments of the transport system are showing more stable trends. In particular, rail transport increased its freight volume to 10.5 million tonnes, which is 14.2% more than the previous year. Over 80% of the freight consists of coal, petroleum products and sugar beet.
Passenger rail transport also grew, reaching over 432,000 passengers, a 1.6-fold increase.
