The euro and the yuan have risen in value, whilst the rouble has fallen

The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan has set the official exchange rates for foreign currencies as at 4 September. The euro and the Chinese yuan have strengthened against the KGS, whilst the Russian rouble and the US dollar have weakened slightly.

The dollar’s exchange rate fell from 87.45 to 87.4488 KGS. The change was minimal – 0.0012 KGS.

The euro showed the most significant movement among the major currencies. Its official exchange rate rose from 101.2103 to 101.5324 KGS, or by 0.32 per cent. The yuan’s exchange rate rose from 13.0085 to 13.0170 KGS (+0.07 per cent).

The rouble, by contrast, fell from 1.0139 to 1.0023 KGS, losing 1.14 per cent.

The tenge remained unchanged at 0.1919 KGS.
