By 2028, the programme aims to achieve 11,600 hectares of ferula cultivation areas by involving low-yield agricultural land, where it is planned to bring the annual harvest of raw materials to 1,392 tonnes.
As part of state support, ministries and departments, as well as local authorities, have been instructed to provide production and marketing assistance to farmers and entrepreneurs. The possibility of obtaining preferential loans at 6% per annum under the ‘Credit for the Agro-Industrial Complex’ project has been provided.
Training seminars on agricultural techniques have been held for farmers. Last year, 107 farms in 12 villages across the country grew ferula.
The Ministry recommends using low-yield pastures for ferula cultivation, contacting the district state administrations for this purpose.
The development of ferula cultivation is of great economic and environmental importance and is a promising direction for the country's agricultural policy.
