Farmers are sold diesel fuel at 65 KGS, and at this price there is still 1.3 mln litres available

Farmers in Kyrgyzstan are receiving diesel fuel at a reduced price of 65 KGS, which is cheaper than the market price. This is due to the spring sowing campaign, for which the state is allocating fuel and lubricants through the Material Reserves Fund. This was reported by the Ministry of Water and Agriculture.

According to the latest data, almost 6 million litres of diesel fuel have been allocated for sowing. Of this amount, almost 4.7 million litres have already been distributed to farmers, with about 1.27 million litres remaining in reserve.

‘The work has covered all seven regions of the republic. Farmers in the Issyk-Kul, Osh and Jalal-Abad regions have already received the most fuel,’ the Ministry of Water and Agricultural Development said.

The ministry also said that it is considering the possibility of providing farmers with additional land for sowing.
