Farmers were advised to grow fodder crops as a second crop

The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic has called on farmers to use their arable land to grow fodder crops after the spring and autumn harvests of 2025.

These include crops such as corn (for silage), sorghum, soybeans and other plants that can be used to feed livestock. The ministry explains that this measure is aimed at strengthening the feed base in the country's livestock regions and will provide farmers with green fodder, hay, haylage and silage during the winter period.

In addition, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry notes that growing fodder crops as a second crop could become an additional source of income for farmers.
