France may join in the implementation of major projects in Kyrgyzstan

Deputy Minister of Finance Nurbek Akzholov held a meeting with French Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Nicolas Fay. The main topic of discussion was France's potential participation in the country's priority infrastructure and investment projects, including financial support mechanisms and business tools.

The parties noted that infrastructure development remains one of the key areas of bilateral cooperation. The French side presented a list of companies ready to participate in projects in Kyrgyzstan and outlined possible financial instruments that could be used to expand French participation.

Akzholov stressed that Kyrgyzstan is ready to consider options for involving France in financing major initiatives, but for effective work, it is necessary to clarify the role of French partners in the implementation of future projects.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue the dialogue and explore the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding.
