Kyrgyzstan launches electronic platform for applying for Digital Nomad status

Kyrgyzstan has officially launched an online platform for foreign citizens to apply for “digital nomad” status. The new service is available at this link.

The platform allows foreigners to remotely apply for status that gives them the right to legally reside and work remotely in Kyrgyzstan. To begin, users must submit an application to activate their individual personal account. Once activated, they can submit their main application.

The application will only be accepted if a complete set of required documents is provided, a list of which is available on the platform's website.

Digital Nomad status is granted in two stages:

• initial period — 60 days;
• second stage — extension for 1 year with the possibility of annual renewal for up to 10 years.

The program is aimed at attracting foreign specialists working remotely and is designed to stimulate the development of the digital economy, as well as to increase the investment and tourist attractiveness of Kyrgyzstan.
