06/01/2025, 17:05The profitability of non-bank financial institutions in Kyrgyzstan has declined: while in 2023 their assets yielded an average return of 8.8%, in 2024 this figure fell to 6.6%. Return on capital fell from 20.8% to 16.8%.
One guarantee fund continues to operate in the country, helping businesses obtain loans by acting as a guarantor. Its assets at the end of 2024 amounted to KGS 7.4 billion, increasing by only 1.2%. However, the fund's liabilities grew by 64.5% to KGS 347.3 million.
The fund's profit for the year decreased by almost 15%, from 436.5 million KGS to 371.7 million KGS. Despite this, in 2024, it issued almost 3,000 guarantees worth 3.2 billion KGS. The number of guarantees decreased compared to 2023, but their average amount increased.
