    Revenues from fines under the Safe City program increased by 114 million KGS

    In the first four months of 2025, the Kyrgyz budget received 404.7 million KGS from fines imposed under the Safe City video surveillance system. This was reported by the Ministry of Finance.

    For comparison, during the same period last year, the amount of revenue was 290.6 million KGS. Thus, revenue from this item increased by more than 114 million KGS.

    According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, about 12,000 video surveillance cameras were installed as part of the Safe City project. Currently, the Safe Country project is being implemented, under which the total number of cameras has increased to 25,000. These cameras are installed not only by the police, but also by other organizations, including schools, and are connected to the Ministry of Internal Affairs database.
