06/04/2025, 18:02Kyrgyz Post has launched a direct parcel delivery service between the US and Kyrgyzstan. The cost of sending a parcel from the US is $8 per kilogram, which is approximately 700 KGS at the current exchange rate.
For comparison, one of the private companies operating in this area offers delivery from the US to Bishkek at a price of 1,062 KGS per kilogram, with a minimum parcel weight of 200 grams.
Kyrgyz Post accepts shipments in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Delaware. In the opposite direction, from Kyrgyzstan to the US, the rate is $12 per kilogram.
It should be noted that there are tens of thousands of Kyrgyz citizens in the United States. Many of them have reported that sending parcels is expensive. As a result, they often take the risk of sending them through random people at the airport.
