03/03/2026, 12:23President Sadyr Zhaparov signed a decree amending Decree No. 155 of June 2024 on the establishment of the National Investment Fund. The updated document emphasises that the fund should not only manage a portfolio of companies, but also actively promote their entry into domestic and international capital markets, attracting investment for growth and development.
Among the fund's new priorities are improving the efficiency and effectiveness of companies within the group, sustainable growth in their value, the introduction of advanced corporate governance standards, and the implementation of investment projects capable of developing specific sectors of the economy.
In addition, the wording has been clarified: references to ‘the Fund and its portfolio companies’ have been replaced with ‘companies that are part of the fund,’ which makes the management structure more transparent and increases the accountability of participants. The decree comes into force on the day of its official publication.
