The State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic has shut down a channel for producing fake visas for migrants from Bangladesh

The State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic has identified and shut down a criminal group that organized the production and sale of fake permits for citizens of Bangladesh.

According to the GKNB, a Bangladeshi citizen, “H.M.M.,” received $66,500 for producing fake documents allowing migrant workers to legally reside in Kyrgyzstan. In February of this year, he handed over the fake permits to his compatriots.

During searches, GKNB officers seized more than 120 passports with expired documents and a laptop with electronic copies of the forged documents. The detainee has been placed in a pre-trial detention center, and an investigation is underway to identify his accomplices.

The SCNS urges foreigners and organizations to strictly use the official electronic portal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic to obtain permits under the new migration rules.
