11/10/2025, 11:00The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan announced the return of 80 hectares of land located in the Ysyk-Ata district of the Chui region to state ownership. The plots were seized as part of a criminal investigation into the financing of organized criminal groups and the laundering of proceeds from crime.
According to the investigation, members of the organized criminal group led by K. Asanbek extorted money from business representatives for the subsequent financing of criminal activities. During the investigation and operational activities, a number of illegally acquired assets, including land plots, were identified and returned to the state.
The SCNS noted that work to identify criminally obtained property is continuing. The investigative authorities intend to return all assets that were illegally removed from state ownership.
