09/21/2024, 12:34A subsidiary of the Turkish Post presented to the head of the Cabinet of Ministers several proposals for the development of postal and logistics infrastructure and expansion of e-commerce opportunities in Kyrgyzstan.
The presentation took place within the meeting of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov with the management of the subsidiary of the Turkish Post.
During the meeting, the official emphasized the importance of the tasks, faced by the Cabinet of Ministers, to improve the quality of postal services, stimulate the growth of e-commerce and the development of small and medium-sized businesses in the country.
"As part of the mandate to create a national marketplace and modernize postal and logistics infrastructure, we have already taken essential steps. The joint efforts of the OJSC “Kyrgyz Pochtasy” and OJSC “Eldik Bank” with your company have led to the signing of a cooperation agreement, and this is just the beginning of our journey. We expect that the implementation of this agreement will allow us to significantly modernize the postal system of the Kyrgyz Republic and offer our citizens and businesses modern logistics solutions that will support the development of e-commerce in the region,” he pointed out.
In his turn, the Director General of the Turkish Post's subsidiary Hakan Cevikoglu confirmed his readiness to strengthen cooperation with the Kyrgyz side and participate in initiatives to develop e-commerce and modernize the postal system.
