In his speech, Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev, on behalf of President Sadyr Zhaparov and the Cabinet of Ministers, congratulated those present on the upcoming Independence Day of the Republic and on the acquisition of new vehicles, and also noted a number of changes that have taken place in the country in recent years.
"Dear compatriots, over the past five years, the Kyrgyz state has embarked on a course of rapid and sustainable development. The growth rate over the past seven months has been 11.5%. 2025 has become a historic year when border issues have been completely resolved. This year will also be historic for our budget, because we predict that by the end of the year our consolidated budget will exceed 1 trillion soms," he said.
Adylbek Kasymaliyev emphasized that development is being observed in all sectors, highlighting the reforms and changes taking place in the Ministry of Energy.
"Kyrgyzstan's energy sector is under special state control. For example, while 14.8 billion soms were allocated to the energy sector in 2021, 91.3 billion soms were allocated in 2024, including capitalization. A major state and even Central Asian project has been launched – the Kambarata HPP-1. The last hydroelectric unit of the Toktogul HPP has been sent for reconstruction. Four hydroelectric units of the At-Bashinskaya HPP have been replaced. The third unit of the Uch-Korgonskaya HPP has been sent for modernization. Work has begun on the renovation of the Kambarata HPP-2. The KASA-1000 project has been completed. A number of projects using renewable energy sources are being implemented. This year, 18 small hydropower plants will be commissioned across the country. Thanks to such large-scale work and the fact that the energy sector is supported and strictly controlled by the state, electricity losses are decreasing year by year," he said.
The Prime Minister also noted that the country has become attractive to investors, as a result of which investors willing to invest large amounts of money have begun to arrive in the country.
"In the energy sector, entrepreneurs from brotherly Turkey have expressed interest in the construction of the Kazarman and Suusamyr-Kokomeren cascades, in connection with which the Central Asian Investment Holding company was established in Kyrgyzstan in 2024. The total capacity of the cascades is 2,200 MW. The investor has signed an agreement to invest more than $6 billion," he said.
The Cabinet of Ministers notes that 30 Chevrolet cars manufactured in Kyrgyzstan have been handed over to the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In addition, 33 units of special equipment were transferred, of which 21 units were transferred to the National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan and 12 units to Kyrgyzkumur.
