09/18/2026, 10:12The State Tax Service of Kyrgyzstan has announced the launch of a pilot scheme for the ‘Electronic Invoice 2.0’ (EI 2.0) module. The trial is scheduled to last six months and will be in effect from 1 September 2026, in accordance with Government Order No. 705-t of 16 September.
The new module provides for the automation of transactions involving goods, the creation of virtual warehouses and the digital tracking of movements of specific product categories. The use of ESF 2.0 will become mandatory for taxpayers who carry out transactions involving oil and petroleum products, coal, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products included in the established list.
Meanwhile, the existing ‘Electronic Invoice’ information system will continue to operate as normal. Documents issued via ESF 2.0 as part of the pilot scheme do not constitute grounds for the creation, amendment or cancellation of tax liabilities.
For transactions involving goods not included in the mandatory list, participation in the pilot scheme is voluntary. Taxpayers will be able to connect to the system, test its functionality and submit suggestions to the State Tax Service for its improvement.
