07/15/2025, 16:23According to a decree issued by President Sadyr Zhaparov, the State Tax Service has been removed from the structure of the Ministry of Finance and included in the cabinet of ministers.
In accordance with the decree, the State Tax Service will also be responsible for monitoring the production and circulation of alcoholic beverages and jewellery.
These changes are aimed at improving the efficiency of tax administration, accelerating the digitisation of processes and the introduction of product labelling, reducing duplication of functions by combining the regulation of the alcohol and jewellery industries into a single agency, and strengthening the fight against smuggling and the shadow economy.
