Mining companies have paid 46.5 billion KGS into the budget over the first half of the year

In the first half of 2026, companies in the mining sector paid 46.5 billion KGS in taxes and compulsory levies into the budget. This is 18.2 billion KGS more than in the same period last year, when receipts totalled 28.3 billion KGS.

These figures were announced at a meeting of the Ministry of Natural Resources’ executive board, where the ministry’s performance for January–June 2026 was reviewed.

The ministry also reported an increase in revenue from licence maintenance fees (SUL). As at 30 June, these had reached 461.1 million KGS, representing 122.85 per cent of the approved annual target of 375 million KGS.

Thus, revenue from licence fees has already exceeded the annual target by 85.7 million KGS, which the ministry described as one of the key achievements during the reporting period.
