07/29/2026, 13:52Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan are expanding their cooperation in the field of free economic and industrial zones. The relevant memorandum was signed by Ravshanbek Sabirov, Head of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Ikromjon Usmanov, Director of the Tashkent City Industrial Zones Management Directorate.
According to the National Investment Agency, the document provides for the development of a partnership in the creation and management of free economic and industrial zones, the exchange of experience and best practices, as well as joint efforts to attract investment.
The parties also agreed to implement joint investment projects, develop industrial cooperation, and exchange information on investment opportunities and state support measures. In addition, there are plans to hold business forums, trade missions and other joint events.
Particular attention will be paid, within the framework of this cooperation, to developing direct links between free economic zones, industrial enterprises and investors in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
