Mining companies paid over 433 million KGS to retain licences

According to the Ministry of Finance, revenues from fees for retaining licences for the right to use subsoil resources amounted to 433.28 million KGS in January–September. This is 122 million KGS more than in the same period last year.

In January–September 2024, 311.28 million KGS were paid under the same item.

Revenues for the entire group of payments ‘Fees for the right to search, explore, develop and/or use deposits’ increased from 311.5 million KGS to 445.03 million KGS. Almost the entire amount, 383.7 million KGS, went to local budgets and only 61.4 million KGS to the republican budget.

In addition, the budget received payments in the form of fees for the right to use mineral deposits:

  • 2025 – 11.75 million KGS;
  • 2024 – 271,200 KGS;

Thus, the fee for retaining a licence remains the largest item.
