Zhanar Adikova, Director of the EEC Competition Policy Department, spoke about the directions of reforms at the Moscow Financial Forum. According to her, digitalisation is enshrined in the Eurasian Economic Way Declaration and will be a key step in the development of the Union's competitive environment.
The prepared amendments to the EAEU Treaty provide for a mandatory electronic format for cross-border procurement, as well as a new tool - "electronic shop". It is already used in a number of member states, and now it is planned to integrate it at the level of the whole Union.
Experts note that the transfer of procurement to online will not only increase transparency, but will also allow businesses to expand their access to the large government procurement market.
