05/22/2026, 13:23The possibility of launching night bus services is being considered in Bishkek. The fare is likely to be 50 or 70 KGS. The proposal is currently open for public consultation.
This was announced by the capital’s mayor, Aibek Junushaliyev, during the ‘Open Office’ event.
According to him, the authorities do not plan to increase fares on city buses in 2026. However, the issue of launching night routes has begun to be considered due to requests from residents.
The mayor also stated that foreign nationals will be able to pay for travel using any bank card.
Furthermore, from 1 July, cash payments will be completely abolished on Bishkek buses. The authorities intend to switch fare payments exclusively to a cashless format.
