06/04/2025, 11:47In anticipation of the Eid al-Adha holiday, measures are being stepped up to ensure stable passenger transport fares. The Technical Supervision Department of the Main Directorate for Traffic Safety (GUOBDD) is conducting inspections at bus stations in the capital and providing explanatory information to taxi drivers.
Particular attention is being paid to intercity routes, as there is a significant increase in passenger traffic during the holidays, with citizens traveling en masse to rural areas. In this regard, representatives of transport companies and individual carriers are reminded that independent increases in fares during the holiday period are unacceptable.
At present, no cases of unjustified fare increases have been recorded during monitoring. Preventive work with drivers is continuing in order to prevent speculative price increases and ensure the availability of transport services for all categories of citizens.
