The study was conducted between March 17 and April 14, 2025, and was organized by the Guarantee Fund in conjunction with the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic. It involved 969 representatives of companies from all regions and sectors of the country's economy.
The majority of participants (66%) were representatives of small businesses, 27% were from medium-sized businesses, and 7% were from large businesses. The survey covered 81.7% of regional representatives and 18.3% of businesses in Bishkek and Osh. By sector: agriculture – 35%, trade – 29%, services – 18%, industry – 9%, transport – 5%, construction – 4%.
The PMI includes six key components: new orders, production, employment, supplies, inventories, and finances. According to the analysis, Kyrgyzstan's overall business activity index was 60.9, indicating a high level of economic activity. A value above 50 indicates growth, while a value below 50 indicates a decline in activity.
The figure of 60.9 confirms the steady growth of the Kyrgyz economy and reflects the effectiveness of the government's economic and investment policies.
It should be noted that the first PMI survey in Kyrgyzstan was conducted in October 2024 by the same organiser, OJSC Guarantee Fund.
