The IT and telecoms sectors generated 11.4 billion KGS in profits for Kyrgyzstan’s enterprises over the first half of the year

Companies in Kyrgyzstan’s real economy operating in the information and communications sector recorded a net profit of 11.4 billion KGS for the period January–June 2026. These figures were provided by the National Statistical Committee.

Profits from profitable enterprises in the sector totalled 13.4 billion KGS, whilst losses from unprofitable enterprises reached 2 billion KGS. Consequently, after accounting for losses, the sector’s overall financial result stood at 11.4 billion KGS.

Telecommunications enterprises recorded the highest positive result. Their net profit amounted to 6.4 billion KGS. Profits from profitable companies in this segment reached 6.5 billion KGS, whilst losses from unprofitable enterprises amounted to approximately 160.5 million KGS.

A further 5.2 billion KGS of the net financial result was attributable to companies operating in the computer hardware and IT services sectors. Meanwhile, publishing, video and audio recording, and television and radio broadcasting collectively ended the first half of the year with a loss of almost 150 million KGS.
